As I’m settling into writing the third, and final, book in Rag & Bone (Incipient is the title) I’ve also been piecing together a release schedule. It took me awhile to sort of put together what I think will work well for me, but I’ve finally settled on what I think will be the final product as far as book releases go. So here we have it:
September 15th, 2021 – Rag & Bone: Transmission
October 2021 – 31 Days of Horror
November 15th, 2021 – Short story collection (digital release only)
December 5th, 2021 – A Shark In Lola’s Pond
February 15th, 2022 – Rag & Bone: Ashes
May 8th, 2022 – The Heart of War
July 15th, 2022 – Rag & Bone: Incipient
October 15th, 2022 – A Taste of Autumn (Dreadful Seasons #1)
If it seems like a lot, well, it is. Like with anything else, I’m going to do my best to make this happen as I’ve written it, but things crop up and it all just depends on me and the team around me. I want to get A Shark In Lola’s Pond and Heart of War out quickly, primarily because I’ve just been sitting on them for ages and it’s just time to do it. I’m tired of holding onto things and pushing them to the back burner, and I want to stop doing that. I want to release things when they’re finished, and I want do so in a more timely manner. So, that means you’ll be getting six books out of me over the span of a year! I think that’s pretty exciting, and I hope you do too!
I also want to start doing different types of posts here on my blog. I want to make a better effort to post some of my book reviews here, which I have really slacked off on. I’d love to do some blog tours with other writers, and I also want to do a weekly post about my life as a writer. Some of the posts I’m planning on writing (which will come out probably every Thursday) are:
List things that help to inspire your writing
Write about what a typical writing day is like for you
Talk about tips, tricks and tools that help keep your writing career organized
What inspires your story ideas and characters
Review writing classes you have taken
Review writing products
Talk about how you can use your favorite TV show as inspiration for characters, plots and scenes.
Talk about how you use music during your writing process.
Those are just a few examples that I want to feature here, and I’m hoping to start this Thursday.
I think that’s it for this update though. I just wanted to put my tentative schedule out there for those who might be interested, and to discuss some things I have coming up. Thanks for sticking around, and if you read this entire post you are a saint! See ya on Thursday!
